June 23, summer solstice: a bonfire and the burning of the witch in the mist of great merrymaking, fulfilling ancestral pre-Christian rites to the sound of the “Txistu” or Basque flute.

June 29, San Pedro (St. Peter’s Day): the feast of the town’s patron saint that lasts several days with concerts, bands, Basque dances, etc.

July 22, Magdalena (St. Mary Magdalene’s Day): a feast to celebrate the close links between the towns of Mundaka, Bermeo and Elantxobe.

Second week of August, Euskal Jaia (Basque Festival): the highlights are typical costumes, Basque flutes, dances, “pelota” matches, etc.

October, World Surfing Championship.

November 25, Santa Katalina (St. Catherine’s Day): The feast is celebrated in the chapel that bears her name.
